Office Depot Frequently Asked Questions


Beginning January 01, 2007, Johns Hopkins University and Johns Hopkins Health System will be using a new, unified purchase order format for all printed, faxed, e-mailed and verbal purchase orders.  On January 01, 2007, the SAP enterprise resource planning system will be implemented and Office Depot is participating in this system.  Below are some frequently asked questions and answers that will guide you through the office supply ordering process. 

How can I log in to the Office Depot Web site to order my supplies?

Prior to January 1, 2007 JHU users should continue to use your procurement card for purchases.  Prior to January 1, 2007 JHHS users should continue to use the Web site.  Effective January 1, 2007, everyone should use your JHED login and password to log into SAP.  Once you are successfully logged into the HopkinsOne SAP system you can access the Office Depot site.  You will not be required to provide any additional log in information to enter the Office Depot Web site.

Will the Office Depot site look the same as it does currently?

The Office Depot site is not changing.  You will still be able to navigate through the site as you do now.  If you are new to the Office Depot Web site and would like instructions or training about the site, please contact your Office Depot account manager.

Will I be able to view my contract price?

The contract prices for Johns Hopkins Institutions are displayed on the Office Depot Web site.

Will any items be restricted from ordering?

If an item is restricted an icon will appear next to the item.  If the restricted item icon is present this item can not be ordered.  Supply Chain Shared Services has set the Office Depot restrictions.  If you have questions regarding items that are restricted please contact SCSS at 443-997-5600.

I cannot access the Office Depot eMarketplace catalog.  The message is "The page cannot be found". How can I get access to order from Office Depot?

You can access the Office Depot catalog by deleting your Internet Explorer cookies. To delete your cookies, follow the process below:

1. Open up Internet Explorer
2. Click on Tools —> Internet Options
3. On the General tab, click on Delete Cookies; then click OK
4. Then, click on Delete Files; click OK
5. On the Internet Options box, click OK to exit

Then, log in to SAP and the HopkinsSelect eMarketplace to access the Office Depot catalog.

Who do I contact if I have problems logging into SAP?

Will I still be able to fax or phone in my orders to Office Depot?

You will no longer be able to fax or phone your Office Depot orders.  Orders will be conveniently placed though SAP eMarketplace.
